Bidding at low cost would allow more traffic within the budget but a low click cost would invariably mean a low ranking and consequently little traffic.

Conversely, bidding at high cost would attract a higher ranking and therefore more traffic, however, the budget limit would be met earlier so traffic would stop.

By aiming to 'optimise' the bid and ranking, we achieve the 'optimum' amount of traffic at minimum cost to the client. Remember, these fees are what you pay us, you still have to pay your click costs too.
